Houston Person is a passionate and soulful tenor saxophonist. He puts his heart into every tune leaving the audience relaxed and in the moment. Houston has recorded over 100 albums and is recognized world wide as leading instrumentalist. Wynton Marsalis deemed Houston "the last of the boudoir tenors, simply delicious". He requested Jodi Proznick & Miles Black. I hope you will consider coming to this intimate theatre and getting inspired with some great jazz.
Houston will bring cd's for you to take home with you...

Miles Black is a creative, emphatic, virtuous piano player, arranger, producer, and teacher. Miles is a versatile accompanist who has played with some of our local great musicians such as Oliver Gannon, Fraser MacPherson, Herry Edison, Shella Jordan, Dee Daniels, Ingred Jensen, Ernestine Anderson, Paul Horn, and the Vancouver Symphony. "A gentle, creative man of melody."

Phil Dwyer has been on the international Jazz scene for over two decades, playing saxophone and piano with Don Thompson, Randy Brecker, Aretha Franklin, Ian Tyson, Gino Vannelli, Moe Koffman, and many others. He is well recognized as a composer, arranger, and musical director, receiving many rewards and recognition for his genius in Jazz composition.

Jodi Proznick is a creative, refreshing, in demand bassist. She has opened for Oscar Peterson with the Oliver Gannon Quartet and won best album of the year, along with Jesse Cahill, in the national jazz awards. She has played with many greats including Ingrid Jensen, Patience Higgins, Ian McDougal, Hugh Fraser, Dee Daniels, and the Vancouver Island Symphony. Jodi will be adjudicating the West Coast Jazz Festival April 27-29th.
